European Autoworkers Fight Back Against Banksters
European autoworkers whose jobs are being destroyed by the bankster economic crash are staging mass rallies and plant walkouts all over Europe. They are fighting against GM’s plan to eliminate 26,000 jobs in Europe, at Opel, Vauxhall, and Saab plants. 15,000 angry workers rallied at the Russelheim plant (shown at right) on Thursday Feb. 26, 2009.
Some 60,000 employees of GM subsidiaries in Europe laid down their tools on Thursday to take part in protests aimed at saving their jobs. Huge losses in Detroit threaten to doom the German carmaker Opel, and the workers want a divorce from the parent company.

Ron Paul Calls Fed “Counterfeiters”

The Great Merle Haggard – Patriot
I don’t know of a more unforgettable musical moment captured on video than this performance of Merle’s song “Today I Started Loving You Again”. This was 1999. Bonnie Owens was even more famous as a singer than Merle Haggard when she married him, and then gave up her own career to sing the most heavenly harmonies you’ll ever hear as Merle’s backup singer. She is 70 years old in this video. Which is pretty hard to believe, but yes she was born in 1929. She passed away in 2006. Bonnie and her voice are just as pretty in this performance as ever in her youngest days. This performance is a priceless treasure in our people’s art.

Austria’s finance minister Josef Pröll made frantic efforts last week to put together a €150bn rescue for the ex-Soviet bloc. Well he might. His banks have lent €230bn to the region, equal to 70pc of Austria’s GDP.
“A failure rate of 10pc would lead to the collapse of the Austrian financial sector,” reported Der Standard in Vienna. Unfortunately, that is about to happen.
