Israel Fires 400 Rockets on Gaza in 2 Days
Gaza Strip has been under heavy rocket attacks from Israel since Friday, said a spokesman for the Israeli military.
Israel responded to an attack of Qassam -type missiles by throwing about 2,000 rockets in the last couple of weeks, a statement from the Israeli military spokesman read. The statement also gave news of the Israeli military firing a total of 12 missiles, 10 of which blew off in Palestinian soil.
Rumsfeld: ‘The Implication That There Was Something Wrong with the War Plan is Amusing’
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has been doing a series of softball interviews with hosts like Rush Limbaugh in an effort to rehabilitate his image. On Monday, Rumsfeld appeared on the Bill Cunningham Show and had this to say about the retired generals criticizing his management of the Iraq war:
Of course the implication that there was something wrong with the war plan is amusing almost because of the fact that the war plan’s fashioned by the combatant commanders and it’s reviewed in great detail by the members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, then it’s recommended to me and the President.
In other words, Rumsfeld is arguing that there is nothing wrong with the Iraq war planning — but if there was anything wrong it wasn’t his fault. He’s blaming the combat commanders and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Woman arrested for speaking freely right after Bush call for “freedom…to speak freely” — and CNN calls it “a blemish” on Hu visit
Usually watching CNN with one eye as we blog from our undisclosed location doesn’t give us much new fodder, except for the occasional “stuck landing gear” crisis. But today we are aghast at the coverage of Chinese President Hu Jintao at the White House.
At an outdoor ceremony, Bush told Hu:
China has become successful because the Chinese people are experience the freedom to buy, and to sell, and to produce — and China can grow even more successful by allowing the Chinese people the freedom to assemble, to speak freely, and to worship.
Seconds later, one of the people assembled on the White House south lawn actually tried to speak freely right here in America — about both the lack of free speech and religious freedom in China.
That free-speaking woman was promptly hauled off and arrested:
She shouted in heavily accented English, “President Bush: Stop him from killing” and, “President Bush, stop him from persecuting the Falun Gong.”
Bush, standing next to Hu, leaned over and whispered a comment to the Chinese leader, who paused briefly when the shouting began and then resumed his remarks.
The protester was waving a banner with the red and yellow colors used by Falun Gong, a banned religious movement in China. She kept shouting for several minutes before Secret Service uniformed agents were able to make their way to her position at the top of the camera stand. They dragged her off the stand.
A photographer who was standing next to the protester tried momentarily to quiet her by putting his hand in front of her mouth.
2 charged for Holocaut “denial”. The witch hunt goes on!
Two people have been charged in Germany for what is considered in “liberated” Germany as a terrible crime: not believing post World War two Russian anti-German war propaganda.
One of the men is 41 year old Germar Rudolf. Rudolf had been sited as a witness in a German court in another holocaust trial. He was asked if according to his expertise as a top chemist, it was possible to gas people as described in official WW2 war propaganda. This was a difficult question, because he was not supposed to lie, committing perjury is illegal, and yet say it was possible, because of the holocaust laws, even though he believed it couldn’t be possible. So he said what he believed was the truth and was sentenced to a year and a half in jail.
Racial (in)equality mess…
By now everyone knows, or at least should know that all races are equal. In the past people from different races didn’t get the same average scores on IQ tests. That could give the missleading impression that races are not that equal after all. Now the problem has been solved. Students in schools with high percentages of “visible minorities”, get on average the same IQ as students is mainly white school.
Here is an article that explains how this works. The idea is basically to make students from those “visible minorities” pass exactly the same test than the one white students have to pass, but to leave the scores of the “minority” students out of the stats!!
RUMSFELD: US MEDIA MANIPULATED BY BIN LADEN AND ZARQAWI…
Yesterday on Rush Limbaugh, embattled Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld said that those who criticize the Iraq war are being manipulated by terrorists, including Zarqawi and bin Laden, through the U.S. media:
There have always been people who have opposed wars…I think we just have to accept it, that people have a right to say what they want to say, and to have an acceptance of that and recognize that the terrorists, Zarqawi and bin Laden and Zawahiri, those people have media committees.

Abu Musab Al Zarqawi has been presented both by the Bush administration and the Western media as the mastermind behind the “insurgency” in Iraq, allegedly responsible for the massacres of Iraqi civilians.
Zarqawi is the outside enemy of America. The Bush administration in official statements, including presidential speeches, national security documents, etc. has repeatedly pointed to the need to “go after” Abu Musab Al Zarqawi and Osama bin Laden.
“You know, I hate to predict violence, but I just understand the nature of the killers. This guy, Zarqawi, an al Qaeda associate — who was in Baghdad, by the way, prior to the removal of Saddam Hussein — is still at large in Iraq. And as you might remember, part of his operational plan was to sow violence and discord amongst the various groups in Iraq by cold- blooded killing. Bush won’t rule out nuclear strike on Iran
President Bush refused on Tuesday to rule out nuclear strikes against Iran if “diplomacy fails” [AMI: The kind of WMD diplomacy used before the war of aggression against Iraq] to curb the Islamic Republic’s atomic ambitions.
Iran, which says its nuclear program is purely peaceful, told world powers it would pursue atomic technology, whatever they decide at a meeting in Moscow later in the day.
U.S. invasion responsible deaths of over 250,000 civilians in Iraq

New studies make the Bush administration’s “liberation” argument for a ‘pre-emptive’ war against Iraq seem questionable.
The invasion of Iraq in March 2003 by U.S.-led coalition forces has been responsible for the death of at least 150,000 civilians (not including certain of Iraq), reveals a compilitation of scientific studies and corroborated eyewitness testimonies.
The majority of these deaths, which are in addition those normally expected from natural causes, illness and accidents, have been among women and children, documents a well-researched study, that had been released by The Lancet Medical Journal.
The report in the British journal is based on the work of teams from the Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University in the U.S., and the Al-Mustansiriya University in Baghdad.

We now know they both kept repeating a known lie — that Iraq had secret trailers used as biological weapons labs — long after a Pentagon-sponsored fact-finding group unanimously concluded the trailers had nothing whatsoever to do with weapons of any kind.
