Spanish Patriot Pedro Varela
Arrested By Political Thought Police! One of Spain’s leading patriots, Pedro Varela, has been arrested for the “crime” of speaking and writing true historical facts. This great Spanish patriot, Pedro Varela, now joins Germar Rudolf and Ernst Zundel (jailed in Germany), and David Irving (jailed in Austria) as the latest political prisoner jailed for the “crime” of telling the truth as a European in a European country. The second story on the arrest of patriot Pedro Varela is in Periodismo.
So far I have found two stories in the Spanish press about the arrest of Pedro Varela on Monday, April 10, 2006. One is in 20 Minutos, and the other is in Periodismo. I’ll give my attempt at a translation of the Spanish from 20 Minutos below. If someone with much better Spanish than mine can help with better translations of either article, please post your translations here. Jamie Kelso, Florida, USA

Here’s my effort at a translation, based on 1 year of college Spanish:
The European Bookstore is accused of excusing genocide.
The proprietor (owner) of the European Bookstore, Pedro Varela Geiss, who was detained (arrested) Monday for defending genocide, is freed …….

The Mossos (Police?) confiscated around 5,000 books and documents in the operation “Seneca”. Superintendant Joan Carles Molinero, Assistant Chief of the General Commisariat of Criminal Investigation, explained yesterday that the police action is not against the bookstore (which was investigated during the 1990s), but against the Ojeda Editorial Cultural Association, which has meetings in this bookstore. According to the Mossos (Police? - sources?), this organization is, allegedly, a distributor of xenophobic books.
