While I was reading the news yesterday, I found an article claiming that unborn babies don’t feel pain till the age of 26 weeks. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this was not about science but about making women who consider abortion feel good about it.
The research claims that even though the pathways in the brain needed to process pain responses and hormonal stress responses are in place by 26 weeks, the child can only really experience pain after birth; because before birth, the child doesn’t understand the “subjectivity of pain”!
